Nicholas Tkalcevic is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years professional and commercial experience. He originally joined the UAL team in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing with him a wealth of understanding and acumen in financial management, taxation and business strategy. Nicholas was appointed Chief Executive Officer in November 2017 and in this role he oversees all aspects of UAL’s and the Projects’ operations including financial requirements and business strategies.

Nicholas leads the UAL management team in achieving their primary objective of ensuring that investors’ interests are protected and maximised. He reports directly to the Board of Directors and liaises extensively with all key external stakeholders including the almond processing and marketing agent, orchard manager and the independent external auditors. Prior to commencing with UAL, Nicholas worked for over 20 years at a professional Chartered Accounting practice where he gained extensive business, accounting, taxation and financial knowledge.

Vanessa Overall has been with UAL since its inception in 2003. She has an extensive and comprehensive knowledge of compliance and investor service processes, which were gained over many years working in Melbourne, Tokyo, New York and London.

As Head of Compliance, Vanessa liaises with the Compliance Committee and the Board of Directors to manage all UAL and Project related compliance issues. She ensures that UAL is meeting the requirements set out in its Australian Financial Services Licence and the obligations contained in the Projects’ Compliance Plans and Constitutions.

Prior to joining UAL, Vanessa spent six years working overseas in senior marketing positions for a large multinational insurance group. In these roles she developed client relationship knowledge as well as marketing and business development programs.

Angela Punshon is a member of UAL’s finance team and joined UAL in 2011 as Group Accountant reporting to the CEO. She is a Chartered Accountant diligently administering all aspects of the accounting and taxation requirements for UAL and the Projects including dealing with the Australian Taxation Office, Australian Securities and Investments Commission, financial institutions and UAL’s external auditors.

Angela came to UAL after working in a professional Chartered Accounting firm for 6 years where she developed her accounting and taxation knowledge managing the financial affairs of numerous small to medium sized businesses.

Shelley Walls joined UAL in 2007 as a full-time administrator. Shelley has had experience servicing customers in various industries throughout her career, which includes working within the Event, Exhibition and Corporate Hire Furniture industry, and prior to that working in the Health Insurance industry. Shelley now works part- time balancing work with family life and enjoys working with the whole UAL team to achieve quality outcomes for all investors. Her role has been expanded to include supplementing the accounting team through bookkeeping responsibilities.

Sharon Kulesza joined UAL in March 2018 providing part time administration and client services support. Her role also includes complementing the compliance function. Sharon has had extensive experience in office and account management, providing excellent customer support across various industries. Her career includes working within the design, marketing and print management industry, and for 10 years prior to joining UAL, working within a specialised recruitment company as office manager, and assistant to the bookkeeper.
